Jelimo will fly to Eldoret for her home coming party to be held today at her village in Nandi South District. Last month at a state ceremony in Mombasa, President Kibaki rewarded Kenya’s other Olympians.

Jelimo is a constable in the Kenya Police and speaks about her occupation with a lot of pride.

“I will continue to serve in the police force for as long as I can be of service. You need a job in order to get somewhere in life. What would I do if, God forbid, I got an injury that puts me off the track?” posed Jelimo.

Congrats Jelimo you've made us all proud. Now that they are loudly announcing what you earned, the government should give you and your family security. That's the least they can do for our HEROIN!!! Wish you all the best in life most of all health. You are simply great!!!

Kudos Jelimo. You have not only made your country proud but you have also given teenagers a reason to focus on their talents and skills by putting them to use. Great Job!

All that glory and yet not a single modern running track in Rift valley!!!!!! Talk of a government that has no priority at all...... If you really wanna help athletes...plz give them facilities....... Well done Pammy.....You did us proud.... One more thing the Kenya police should promote her immediately.....
