Bolstered by victories from Shanghai, Eugene and Paris, Sum, who is also the Commonwealth and Africa champion, glided yet to another win in 1 minute 58.44 seconds, beating Dutch Hassan Sifan to second place in 1:59.46 as Lynsey Sharp settled third in 1:59.57.
