Julius Yego irked by coach’s travel plans

World javelin champion Julius Yego is not a happy man as he prepares to leave Nairobi this morning for Rio Olympic Games.
Yego on Saturday took issue with the National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) over what he termed as jumbled travelling arrangement involving his coach Joseph Mosonik.
A furious Yego wondered why NOC-K arranged for Mosonik to join him a day before he competes on August 17 then leave on August 18 when his competition is still on.
“This means that I won’t have a coach in my training sessions for the next eight days,” Yego noted. “I will only have Mosonik for two or one day before I start my event then he leaves before the final.”
Yego questioned why people with no meaningful responsibilities were booked to leave the country in advance and given accommodation while those who mattered left behind.
Yego singled out sprinters who left the country last Sunday leaving behind their coach John Anzrah. “Do these people know the importance of having a coach,” Yego posed.
