Thrilling wins for Kenya on last day

Kenya men reclaimed the 4x400m title with a superlative performance on Sunday, beating Botswana and Nigeria to silver and bronze respectively.
The Kenyan women’s team also staged a brave battle as they rallied from last position to claim silver in 4x400 relay race that went to Ghana as Botswana got bronze.
In In the previous event Kenyan men failed to win any medal while the women won bronze. They last time Kenya won 4x400 was in 2006.
The men’s team had Geoffrey Ngeno, Vincent Koskei, Julius Kirwa and Mark Mutai. The women were represented by Grace Kidake, Maureen Maiyo and Janeth Jepkosgei.
Meanwhile, Maureen Jelagat stunned many for a rare bronze in women’s 400m hurdles.
The 25-year-old Jelagat posted a season best of 56.74. Hayat Lambarki(55.96) from Morocco stunned defending champion Nigerian Ajoke Odumosu.
