Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green suffered no serious damage to his strained left knee according to a scan, his team said on Thursday.
The Warriors said that Green, who hobbled out of Tuesday's season-opener against Houston, underwent an MRI scan on Wednesday which revealed "no new structural damage."
Green would travel with the team on its three-game road trip but is "doubtful" to be fit for Friday's game with the New Orleans Pelicans, the statement said.
Green, a two-time All-Star and reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year, was injured in the third quarter of Tuesday's game with Houston.
"I'll be good. I'm fine," Green told ESPN following the game, which ended in a 122-121 loss for Golden State.
