The Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association’s super league champions, Kanbis A, added another feather to their cap when they beat Cutchi Leva by 40 runs to win the NPCA Twenty20 title at the Nairobi Gymkhana on Sunday.

However, Kanibs B (133 for 7), were not as lucky as their A side, they were beaten by 26 run by Kingonis (159 for 3) in the division one final played at the same venue in the afternoon.

The Kenya under-19 dependable all-rounder knocked the only century of the day with unbeaten 101.

Batting first after winning the toss, Kanibs A set their opponents a target of 170 with RajeshVarsani’s contribution of 42, the best score for the side.

Mahendra Siyani (2/26) and Mahesh Rabadia (1/30) took wickets for Cutchi Leva.

The remaining two wickets were run out.

In reply, Cutchi Leva fought gallantly to put on a respectable total on the board, 129.

Vinod Rabadia top scored for the side with 29, a run higher than his namesake, Ashwin Rabadia (28) as Vasant Kerai came third with 25.
