Football Kenya Federation on Wednesday released a provisional list of 27 national under-20 players who face their Sudanese counterpart in a friendly match in Kenya.

The fixture will be played on May 29. Amos Nondi, scorer of the away goal against the Sudanese junior team early last month, has made the provisional list, as has Kariobangi Sharks striker Ovella Ochieng and the Laiser Hill duo of Musa Masika and David Owino.

John Kamau remains the team coach assisted by Hesbon Nyabinge.

Kamau said that the match is meant to help with cohesion within the national junior team.

“Even though we won’t be engaging in any competitive matches soon, there is need to foster cohesion among players and I thank the federation for organising this friendly match.

“I know that we shall be taking part in a number of tournaments next year and it is important to start preparing at this time so that we are ready when that time comes,” said Kamau.
