Arsenal FC partners with Kenyan bank

Arsenal Football Club has partnered with Imperial Bank as it seeks to strengthen its image in the regional market.

The English team, also known as ‘The Gunners’, announced a joint partnership with the bank where customers will be issued with debit cards branded with Arsenal’s logo.

Kenyan fans will receive official Arsenal merchandise and tickets to watch the team in action at Emirates Stadium.

The three-year partnership will cover Kenya and Uganda where Imperial Bank branches are located.

“We are also known for having the community at the heart of our business,” said Imperial Bank MD Abdulmalek Janmohamed.

Arsenal Soccer School coaches will also visit Kenya and Uganda during the partnership period in order to run coaching clinics on behalf of the bank.

Promotion of grassroots football will be a key focus as a junior team is formed from the existing programme to participate in the coaching clinics.
