Bandari coach Paul Nkata is sweating over the fitness of winger Shaban Kenga ahead of their SportPesa Premier League match against Kakamega Homeboyz at Mbaraki Sports Club on Saturday.

Nkata said that Kenga has a cut near the eye after he collided with a teammate during a training session on Wednesday and is doubtful for Saturday’s clash against Homeboyz.

“I’m not sure if Kenga will be able to play against Homeboyz,” said Nkata, who also confirmed the absence of striker Enock Agwanda, who sustained an injury in their 3-2 loss away to Zoo Kericho last weekend.

“Agwanda is also out. We actually left him in Nairobi where he is recuperating."

However, the Ugandan coach remained confident that they will register their first win since their 2-1 home victory over Nzoia Sugar on may 10.

“All other players other than (Edwin) Lavatsa are iready to face Homeboyz," thje former Muhoroni Youth and Tusker coach added.

Nkata issued a rallying call to the fans to turn up in large numbers to cheer the team to victory. “We can’t afford to lose three consecutive matches, we’ll fight it to make sure we get all the three points. We lost two matches and we won’t accept a third defeat in a row.”
