Bandari are back from a high altitude training camp in Ngong, Kajiado and raring to go in their season opener Super Cup clash against Gor Mahia at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa on Saturday.

Bandari head coach Twahir Muhiddin said he was satisfied with the time they got for preparations for the match against Gor and expressed optimism of beating the defending Kenyan Premier League champions on Saturday.

“We’ve prepared well for the Gor match. After a one-week high altitude training at Ngong, my players are physically fit and ready to face any team in and outside the country,” said Muhiddin.

The team’s training session on Wednesday was a full house.

Two players, Masoud Juma and Andrew Aiswa were present after recovering from bouts of malaria.

WINNING ELEVEN

Asked to explain Bandari’s performance in four drawn friendly matches played recently, Muhiddin responded that they did not play to get the results but to find a winning first 11.

“We’ve found our first 11side which will play against Gor on Saturday,” he said but declined to give names.

He appealed to Coast football fans to turn up in great numbers and cheer the team to victory.

“We’ve done our part of training the players and it is now our supporters’ turn to come and cheer the team to victory on Saturday,” the veteran coach said.
