“We are concerned about the continued wrangles at the club. This must come to an end. We have agreed with all parties that the only way out is to hold elections and everybody must be ready to accept the results,” said Mumias Sugar Chief Executive Officer Evans Kidero.

Just to show the magnitude of the process and Mumias Sugar’s interest in the club, Kidero named Commissioner of Sports Gordon Oluoch to take charge of the exercise with over 10,000 members are expected to cast their vote.

“It is important that AFC Leopards members elect leaders they believe will take the club forward,” said Oluoch as he received nomination papers from contestants on Thursday.

Leopards has not known peace for close to a year now with the office elected in December 2009 heavily divided.
