Cameroon ready for Nigeria friendly

Cameroon warmed up for their exciting friendly clash against Nigeria this weekend with a 3-1 victory over Belgium top flight side KV Oostende in midweek.

Aurelien Chedjou equalised off a Mbia assist, before further goals from Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar and Clinton Njie sealed the result in Brussels.

Mbia, a former Marseille, Sevilla and QPR midfielder is expected to feature prominently for the four time African champions against the Super Eagles and during the 2018 World Cup qualification assignments come November.

Meanwhile, Ethiopia suffered a humiliating 1-0 defeat away to minnows Sao Tome and Principe in the first round match of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers staged on Friday. The Walya Antelopes require a to win the return leg match by three clear goals to progress to the next phase of this competition.

Somalia also suffered a 2-0 to defeat Niger in a clash played in Ethiopia.
