Kenya international winger Clifton Miheso is reportedly closing down on a move to South African top tier club Lamontville Golden Arrows.

According to Kick Off, the South African based club is rebuilding and has targeted Miheso, who is said to have been undergoing trials with them for the past few weeks.

Miheso, whose last work station was at AFC Leopards, parted ways with the Kenyan Premier League giants last month after running down his six months contract.

Miheso has in the past turned out for Thika United and Sofapaka before heading to Finland club Vaasan Paloseura where he signed a one-year deal after three months on trials.

His stay in the Scandinavian country was however short-lived as he returned home to pen a deal with Ingwe in January.

Leopards co-chairman Dan Mule said that he was not aware of any deal as the player had left the club after declining to renew his contract.

“His contract expired a few weeks ago. We tried to talk to him to extend but he was not keen to stay. I’ve just heard that he is in South Africa for trials,” Mule told Daily Nation Sport on Tuesday.

The Durban-based outfit have however not made any official communication regarding the Kenyan winger.

Should he join the Backheel Boys, Miheso will join ex-Tusker defender Brian Mandela, who turns out for Maritzburg United and former Gor Mahia midfielder Ali Abondo (Ajax Capet Tow) as the only Kenyans plying their trade in the Premier Soccer League.
