England, Russia draw in Euro 2016 match

England's hope of winning their first match in the Euro 2016 competition was thwarted after Russia equalised in the 90th minute to end the game 1-1.

Eric Dier scored a stunning goal through a free-kick in the 73th minute to put England in the lead. The Tottenham player scored from the 18-yard box.

Denis Glushakov equalised in injury time on the Saturday Group B match at Stade Velodrome, Marseille.

Earlier before the match, fans from the two countries rioted at the Old Port in Marseille and outside the stadium compelling the police to fire tear gas and water cannons. Authorities said the violence left at least five people injured.
