Fifa rankings: Harambee Starss free fall continues

Kenya has dropped 12 places in the latest world football rankings released by Fifa on Thursday.

The national football team is now ranked 115th in the world down from position 103 in March, and this is attributed to Kenya’s poor performance in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers last month.

Kenya recorded identical 1-0 loses to lowly ranked Guinea Bissau home and away in the two legged encounter that was played on 23rd and 27th of March.

Bissau were the highest climbers in the latest rankings, gaining a massive 45 places for their exploits in the qualifiers which saw them move top of Group E on seven points.

The Portuguese speaking nation is now on position 102 up from the initial 147th position, which makes them the highest climbers in the world.

Algeria lead the pack in the continent, followed by Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal and Egypt.

Seychelles occupy the bottom spot of the position in the continent at position 178, while Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Columbia and Germany occupy the top five slots in that order.
