Gor Mahia interim coach Frank Ouna has resigned from his post at the reigning Kenyan Premier League champions, the club confirmed on Saturday.

Ouna, whose resignation comes barely four days after club head coach Frank Nuttall left the team under unclear circumstances for Egyptian giants Zamalek SC, called it quits moments after Saturday's match against Nairobi City Stars at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Ouna led the champions into the match, in which they drew 2-2 with City Stars.

"Yes, it's true our assistant coach Frank Ouna resigned just after the match at Nyayo," K'Ogalo chairman Ambrose Rachier is quoted as saying by the official club website.

However, Rachier did not state the reasons that led to Ouna's resignation.
