The Falcons arrived in Kisumu on Friday where they were received by Football Kenya Federation vice chairperson Doris Petra.

This will be the Starlets’ second international match this year, but the first time for Falcons in four years.

Falcons’ coach Majidah Nantanda said the team is looking forward to the Kenyan challenge. Nantanda said she would rely on the strength of captain Christine Wanyana.

“Wanyana is a good player. She has the height, she is disciplined and is team leader too. I know she can inspire the rest of the players,” the former Falcons player told Sunday Nation Sport.

A win by Starlets will be a boost ahead of their trip to Spain for a week-long invitational tournament.

Newcomers Elizabeth Ambogo, Carolyne Kiget and Purity Nyongesa will have to prove their worth as they make their debuts for Starlets.

The team will, however, be without diminutive striker Mwanahalima Adam, who is in school.

She scored one of the goals against Algeria two months ago, which earned Kenya their maiden ticket to the women’s African Cup of Nations
Strikers Enez Mango and Winnie Kanyotu who turn up for Vihiga Queens and Gaspo respectively are expected to deliver results for Starlets.
