The Starlets beat Algeria two months ago to qualify for the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.

“The journey has just began. There was a time when this team was not even being ranked, but now we have entered the fray and we are competing just like the other countries that are serious about this sport,” Starlets coach David Ouma told Daily Nation Sport on Thursday.

“I hope that we shall be able to play more international matches so that we can move even higher in the rankings but more importantly so that we can be in good shape to face our regional opponents come November.”
