Homeboyz slow down Ulinzi Stars in Nakuru, Ushuru humble Stima

Ulinzi Stars surrendered a first half lead at home to visiting Kakamega Homeboyz in a physical Kenyan Premier League clash held at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Thursday.

In other matches, Wycliffe Ochomo struck in the 10th minute for Muhoroni Youth to defeat Chemelil Sugar in Muhoroni while Mathare United failed to reclaim the top spot in the league standings after drawing 0-0 with Posta Rangers in Machakos.

In Awendo, Fredrick Onyango and Victor Ademba scored to hand Sony Sugar a 2-0 win over City Stars. Ushuru were 3-1 winners over Western Stima in Kisumu while Bandari were held were held 1-1 by Thika United in Mombasa.

“It was big tough match. The game was important to me because I really needed a win," Ushuru coach Ken Kenyatta said after the match.

“We still need to work hard after this and hopefully I will sign to two strikers, two defenders and a goal keeper.”

Stima coach James Omino faulted his players for a slow start.

“I wanted to finish the first leg on a high but unfortunately we conceded early goals. We really missed Andika (Gabriel) who is serving a two match ban,” said Omino.
