Tartar and Kapenguria Heroes were each awarded Sh200,000 and sealed a slot in the finals of the competition set for Nairobi next year.

EYEING OVERALL TITLE

The two teams also remain in contention to win this competition’s overall title, an achievement that comes with Sh1,000,000 prize money, plus a chance to travel to London to visit and train alongside Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama early next year.

Lanky forward Majak, who also scored four times when his team defeated Kapsoit United in the semi-finals on Saturday, was without doubt the standout player.

“He is a very good player, with all credentials to become exceptional,” Football Kenya Federation technical director Ander Spiers who was in attendance, explained.

Already, the Chesoit High School student is on the radar of National Super League side Nakuru All Stars.

“I am working hard to be on that flight to London and train at Tottenham. I am aiming  to replace (Tottenham striker) Harry Kane one day,” he said.

Seven other regional finals, including Western, Nairobi, Nyanza and Coast, are lined up in the coming months, with each region producing a men and women’s team to grace the national finals.
