Andrew Tololwa scored his second penalty in under a week as AFC Leopards beat Sony Sugar 2-1 on Monday in the SportPesa Premier League match at the Awendo Green Stadium.

Tololwa, formerly of Mathare United, scored from the spot last week as Ingwe drew 1-1 with Mathare at Nyayo National Stadium and he again found the back of the net on Monday as Leopards got their first win of the season.

Ingwe coach, Jan Koops, lined up Kepha Aswani, Lamine Diallo and former Ushuru striker Allan Katerega in attack and Diallo gave Leopards the lead in the 42nd minute after being set up by Katerega. Sony drew level eight minutes after the interval when Daniel Onyango latched onto the ball and fired past Leopards goalie Lucas Indeche.

Ingwe pressed on and their efforts bore fruit ten minutes from time when Sony’s Maxwell Sikolia handled in the box and Tololwa converted the penalty shot.

Coach Koops,73, a Dutch retiree, had a fairy-tale run with Leopards in 2012 guiding them to a third place finish and his return is expected to inject some magic as well as instil belief in the new look playing unit.
