Meanwhile, AFC Leopards forward Alexis Kitenge has warned he is aiming to stretch his scoring breakthrough into this weekend’s “Mashemeji” derby.

Leopards will face Gor Mahia for the third time this season in a second leg league contest at the Nyayo Stadium on Sunday. The fixture had initially been planned for Nyayo, then shifted to Kasarani before being brought back to the Nairobi West-located venue.

It is in this clash - considered the biggest in the country - that Kitenge is planning to formally announce his arrival to all and sundry.

The 21-year-old Burundian has experienced a slow start to the SportPesa Premier League since his Sh1 million move from Bujumbura-based Athletico Olympique back in June.

The attacker however burst to life in style over the weekend, helping himself to a hat-trick during his team’s 7-1 demolition over Wazito in the GOtv Shield last Sunday.
