Thika United coach James Nandwa has received a blow as his side aims to bounce back to winning ways this weekend when they tackle Western Stima at home in a Kenyan Premier League match this weekend.

Nandwa will be forced to do without the key duo of Samuel Mwanje and Suleiman Ng’otho who are both suspended for the weekend home tie on five accumulated yellow cards.

Thika are in hunt for their first win of the second leg after losing 2-1 to Gor Mahia at home, which was followed by an embarrassing 4-0 rout by AFC Leopards last weekend at the Mumias Sports Complex.

At the same time, Muhoroni Youth striker Wycliffe Ochomo, who has so far scored 11 league goals in the campaign, will also miss his team’s weekend clash with Posta Rangers as he serves his one match suspension.

Ochomo picked a red card in their last match and is thus ineligible for selection. Also joining the list of suspended players is Nairobi City Stars striker Jimmy Bageya.

Bageya featured prominently at the weekend as City Stars defied the underdog tag to hold Posta Rangers to a frustrating barren draw at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
