REBUILD CLUB

A delighted Mule said that he would work hard to rebuild the club.

“I thank the delegates and everyone else who has made these elections successful. I have not won today as a person. This is a victory of the club and I am looking forward to working with you to rebuild the club. Those who think that I am not fit to lead this club because of my tribe should know that there is no tribe in football,” he said.

Amahwa stormed out of the venue in protest shortly before the final tally and was unavailable for comment.

The day-long exercise began at around 9am, and there was heavy police presence as the voters lined up to select their leaders.

A total of 5, 294 Leopards members had been cleared to take part in the exercise, but only about 2,200 cast their votes

Dozens of individuals who turned up however complained that they had been kept away from the exercise.
