MultiChoice lines up rich menu of football coverage

  • Video entertainment and internet firm MultiChoice has offered its subscribers a cocktail of upto 1,200 live football matches this season that begins next month.
  • This menu was announced by MultiChoice Kenya’s Corporate Communications manager Philip Wahome during the launch of the South Africa based entertainment firm’s “football season” at a Nairobi hotel.

Video entertainment and internet firm MultiChoice has offered its subscribers a cocktail of upto 1,200 live football matches this season that begins next month.

This menu was announced by MultiChoice Kenya’s Corporate Communications manager Philip Wahome during the launch of the South Africa based entertainment firm’s “football season” at a Nairobi hotel on Friday.

“We will also be broadcasting a number of local matches on SuperSport, such as the GOtv Shield involving Kenyan clubs, plus the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and Africa Nations Championship games where Harambee Stars will be competing, “ said Wahome.

MultiChoice also plan to air all the 380 games of the 2017/2018 English Premier League and Spanish La Liga matches live and in high definition. 

The two competitions kick-off on August 11.

AFRICAN FOOTBALL

Separately, over 250 Confederation of African Football (Caf) matches, including the Champions League, Confederation Cup, Africa Nations Cup qualifiers and Super Cup will be broadcast. 

The Uefa Champions League matches, World Cup qualifiers from South America plus games from select leagues including the FAZ Zambia League which features Kenya internationals Jesse Were, David Owino, Anthony Akumu, John Makwatta and Clifton Miheso will also be broadcast live.
