SportPesa Premier League new boys Nakumatt stunned Sofapaka 2-1 in a charged match at the Ruaraka Grounds on Saturday.

At the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Muhoroni Youth, now under the tutelage of Gilbert Selebwa, upset Western Stima 2-1 as Nzoia Sugar were held to a barren draw by visiting Thika United.

Back at Ruaraka, Ugandan winger Robert Omunuk scored a goal in either half as the league debutantes rallied from behind to collect maximum points against the on-form Batoto ba Mungu.

The Ugandan then settled the match a quarter an hour from time, leaving Sam Ssimbwa’s star-studded side stunned.

Not even the introduction of Mohammed Kilume and midseason signing Meshack Karani could breach the now defensive Nakumatt.
