PARIS

French club Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Brazilian international Lucas Moura, according to reports on Monday.

Brazilian website Oglobo reported that the 19-year-old Sao Paulo midfielder has agreed a five-year deal which is not yet signed but will take effect next Janaury.

Moura, who has also attracted the interest of Manchester United and Inter Milan, is currently competing at the London Olympics with Brazil.

The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) have banned any talk of transfers during the Olympics, according to Brazilian media, who have reported that the player could sign after August 15 and a friendly against Sweden in Stockholm.

"I'm here in Europe to look at the football. The media said it was Manchester United and now they're saying it's PSG," Moura's agent Wagner Ribeiro told Brazilian website Terra.

"Everyone is trying to create their own puzzle by bringing in another piece."

Sources close to the French club told AFP that PSG's Brazilian sporting director Leonardo held talks with Moura's agent last week.

PSG have alrady reached their quota of non-European Union players but that could change when Serbian defender Milan Bisevac gains French citizenship shortly.
