Bottom of the table side KCB on Saturday enjoyed a rare day of ecstasy when they blanked Mathare United 4-0 in a Kenyan Premier League match at the City Stadium.

This was the bankers third win of the season as they languish at the bottom of the league table and with only nine points.

Ronald Musana made the best of a Bethuel Warambo cross to score the banker’s opening goal.

Former Gor Mahia player Paul Kiongera added the second two minutes after the restart when he dispossessed Mathare defender David Mwangi before substitute Sammy Mwangi struck in the 89th minute to send his coach Rishadi Shedu leaping with joy on the touchline.

Kiongera completed the humiliation in time added on.

“I am happy because today the boys have utilised all the chances that they got. At least this win will help us catch up with the rest of the teams. I am confident that if we continue playing like this, we shall be able to remain in the league,” Shedu said after the match.

ULINZI HELD

At Afraha Stadium, Ulinzi Stars came from a goal down to hold the visiting City Stars to a one-all draw.

The struggling City Stars surprised the soldiers when Dennis Okoth fired home a rocket in the 24th minute.

Fourteen minutes later the Robert Matano-coached side salvaged a point when Stephen Waruru drilled in a fierce shot past goalkeeper Fredrick Majani.

Top Fry Nakuru Stars All Stars drew 1-1 with Muhoroni Youth at Nakuru's Afraha Stadium. Enosh Ochieng scored the opener in the 43rd minute after combining well with Ezekiel Otuoma.

All Stars’ Teddy Siwa then equalised at the half hour mark to ensure his side at least share the points at the final whistle.
