Outgoing champions Tusker came from behind to edge out Nzoia Sugar 2-1 in Saturday’s other SportPesa Premier League match at Bungoma’s Sudi Stadium.
It was the hosts that scored first in the 53rd minute when substitute Patrick Khwitonda, on for Elvis Rupia, was on target under a heavy downpour.
Tusker equalised through Noah Wafula in the 63rd minute before youngster Sydney Ochieng gave Tusker the winner on the stroke of full time from a free kick.
