The national Under-20 football team faces Egypt at Nyayo National Stadium in the second leg of the African Youth Championship qualifiers from 4pm on Saturday.

The two teams settled for a barren draw in their opening match played in Cairo, Egypt, two weeks ago.

Kenya stand good chance

But while hosts Kenya stand a good chance to clinch victory and sail through to the third round, the team has been blunt up front, something coach Stanley Okumba must address before the match. Okumba will be relying on Kakamega High School striker Timothy Otieno for goals.

By Friday, tickets for the match were still on sale at the Nyayo National Stadium booths. Ticket for the VIP stand were retailing at Sh300, while those for the terraces were going for Sh100.

The winner of Saturday’s match will meet the winner of the tie between Angola and Zimbabwe in the quest for a ticket to next year’s finals in Algeria.

CAF gave Kenya a bye into the second round and the hosts will be out to tame their North African opponents.

The Super Eaglets of Nigeria won the title last year in South Africa, with Cameroon finishing in second place.

Egypt and Mali finished third and fourth respectively, followed by Gambia, Ghana and Lesotho.
