Kenya Airways Safari Golf Series lands in Kisumu this weekend

The Kenya Airways Golf Safari Series now moves to Kisumu where the lake-side Nyanza Golf Club course will this weekend host the seventh leg of the local series.

The tournament is open to players from Kakamega, Mumias, Kisii, Kericho and host Nyanza Golf Club.

Joseph Watunu on a score of 37 points was second in the men’s section. Ali Babu from Kitale  shot 37 points to finish third . Jennifer Masis was the ladies’s’ runner on 32 points.

The event attracted a field of 110 players. At Sigona, Fan Li won the fifth leg of ‘ Tembea Kenya Golf Series’. The handicap 23 returned an impressive 44 points to beat the large field of 170 players.

He won by six points from Ritesh K. Shah who took the men’s title on 38 points after beating Amar Hindocha and Minesh Haria on back-to-back countback.
