Playing off plus one handicap, Kubwa parred the first two holes but drove to the rough at the third to miss the greens on regulation. He however birdied the fourth, fifth and the ninth, picked up one more at the par three-11th only to drop a shot at the 12th.

“Apart from the third hole and the bogey at the 12th, my game was very solid,” said Kubwa. In third place was Henry Njoroge with 37 points while Ben Murimi on 36 was fourth.
