Mumias Golf Club’s Dismas Indiza claimed his third victory in the 2015 KCB Golf Tour series following a dramatic finish at the par 73 Nakuru Golf Club course in an event that attracted a field of 152 players at the weekend.

Indiza won the top prize of Sh187,500 despite starting the final round in a three-way tie with round two leader David Wakhu of Royal Nairobi and Windsor’s David Opati.

The long-hitting Indiza produced an excellent five under par 68 which included a birdie at the 11th, a two-club on the par four-12th and two other birdies at the 13th and 18th for a total of 11 under par total of 281. He only bogeyed two holes (third and 10th) during the final round, which he described it as dramatic.

“It could have gone either way as each one of us had a chance but experience sometimes helps,” said Indiza, who missed the green on two at the 10th, rolled the ball short off the pin and missed the par for the day’s second bogey.
