Kakamega High storm semis in games

  • Hosts Kakamega, who dominated the match, scored their goals via Marvin Omondi (four) and Henry Juma (three).
  • Kakamega, coached by Brenden Mwinamo, also found the back of the net through Evans Odhiambo (two) and Rodgers Mathews in the quarter-finals.

Kakamega High School’s Green Commandos on Saturday hit Mwihila Secondary School 10-0 to storm the semi-finals of boys’ football in the ongoing Kakamega Central Secondary Schools Term Two “B” Games.  

Hosts Kakamega, who dominated the match, scored their goals via Marvin Omondi (four) and Henry Juma (three).

Kakamega, coached by Brenden Mwinamo, also found the back of the net through Evans Odhiambo (two) and Rodgers Mathews in the quarter-finals.

Efforts by Mwihila of tactician Francis Ashinda to find a consolation goal via attackers Maxwell Shikanda and Ike Okwembah proved futile. In the girls’ category, champions Ibinzo Secondary beat St Joseph’s Secondary 16-0 in their last Pool ‘A” preliminary match.

Ibinzo, under coach Anacklat Kilobi, scored some of their goals via Cynthia Shirwatso, Vivian Makokha and Lilian M’mbogo.

In other girl’s preliminary match, Matende Secondary defeated Shikoti Secondary 1-0 in Pool “B”.
