Little-known Mangawani Secondary will be hoping to continue with their impressive form in the boys basketball category when the Kwale County secondary schools term one games kick off Wednesday morning.

The debutants caused a major upset at the Kwale sub county games after beating regulars Waa High and Lukore and head coach Kahindi Mwema says the team has now set sights on the Coastal regional games set for Malindi in a fortnight.

“We have been training well and believe nothing will stop us from winning the county games,” said Kahindi ahead of the games that will be held at Matuga Girls High School.

Kwale Secondary Schools Sports Association chairman Juma Bora on Tuesday said everything is in place ahead of three-day event.

Mr Bora further said that there will be thorough counter-checking of documents to ensure only genuine students are allowed to take part in the games.

“We have been embarrassed in the past when teams participate in our region and qualify just to be banned at the regional level,” he said while warning of serious repercussions to the concerned parties.
