Schools converge on Mulot High for county games

  • Mulot High School will host Bomet County Secondary Schools Term One games starting on Thursday.
  • According to Bomet County Secondary Schools Sports Association Secretary Moses Wadede, teams from five sub-counties will battle it out for top honoirs in the three–day championship that will run from March 9 to 12.
  • Wadede said teams from Bomet Central, Bomet East, Konoin, Sotik and Chepalungu sub-counties will battle it out for rugby 15s, basketball, hockey, decathlon and heptathlon titles ahead of the Rift-Valley region secondary school games to be held at Nakuru High School from March 18 to 24.

Mulot High School will host Bomet County Secondary Schools Term One games starting on Thursday.

According to Bomet County Secondary Schools Sports Association Secretary Moses Wadede, teams from five sub-counties will battle it out for top honoirs in the three–day championship that will run from March 9 to 12.

Wadede said teams from Bomet Central, Bomet East, Konoin, Sotik and Chepalungu sub-counties will battle it out for rugby 15s, basketball, hockey, decathlon and heptathlon titles ahead of the Rift-Valley region secondary school games to be held at Nakuru High School from March 18 to 24.

Wadede said there would be no swimming competition due to lack of participants. “We are not going to participate in swimming because none of the participating schools have fielded swimmers,” said Wadede.

He appealed to the teams to step up training ahead of the competition.

“We want to organise our games in such a way that our teams which qualify to the regional championships will have enough time to plan for subsequent fixtures,” he said.

Tenwek High School, Sigor High and Kaplong Boys lock horns in a three-way contest in rugby15s. Cross-country, decathlon and heptathlon will witness a close contest between teams from Bomet East, Sotik and Chepalungu sub-counties.
