A battle of titans is expected Friday as schools battle for slots in the final as the National Secondary Schools Term Two ‘A’ Games enter their fourth day this morning at Kangaru High School, Embu County.

In the boys’ Under-16 football, favourites St Anthony’s Boys Kitale play Mau Region’s Simotwo in the first semi-final while Lake Region’s Barding High will be up against Wahundura from Aberdare Region.

In the girls’ clash, Lake Region’s Abwao Secondary - who have impressed at the competition – tackle Olympic Mixed from Metropolitan Region while Nzoia’s Wiyeta battle it out with Eburru from Mau Region.

St Anthony’s and Barding, who are both clear favourites for the title, will need to win their respective semi-finals to set up a dream final. St Anthony’s coach Daniel Oronje said his team will have let themselves down if they fail to reach the final.

“We have gotten this far because of our team work and fighting spirit. Our opponents are a very unpredictable side but we are ready for them,” the coach told Daily Nation Sport Thursday.
