SHINYARO SCORES TWICE

Forward Jessica Shiranyo converted twice from the spot for Wiyeta as Olympic struggled to create any clear cut chances during the encounter. Wiyeta coach Edgar Manyara was pleased with the result but warned against complacency.

“We cut off the supply to their strikers and were able to put them under a lot of pressure. Olympic are a good side and I think we will play them in the final,” Manyara told Daily Nation Sport after the match.

Lake Region Under-16 boys' football champions Barding High also booked their place in the semi-finals after a 1-0 win over Utithi from Metropolitan Region.

Joseph Oginga's second half strike was enough to see Barding win the close encounter. Simotwo and Garissa High played out a 2-2 draw in the other Pool A encounter.
