WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown and WWE Summerslam are among the leading products of the America-based company.

SuperSport has acquired broadcast rights for all live and recorded shows of WWE, starting from August 28. However, Summerslam matches will be aired live from next month.

The live and recorded shows of WWE will be On SSS4, SSS 7, SSS 9 and SSS 10.

Speaking during a media briefing ahead of the weekend’s matches held at Barclays Centre in Brooklyn New York, reigning Team Tag world champion, Kofi Kingston, said he is delighted that African audiences will have a chance to watch him compete live on television.

“Having your own country men behind you is the best support that a sportsman from any given country can ever get. It will motivate me perform better on stage,” Kingston, an American with Ghanaian roots, said.

Kofi believes that highlighting the Sport in Africa will inspire Africans join entertainment sport as a profession.

“The impact broadcasting local football on live TV had over the years is the same way professional wrestling will develop in Africa through viewership,” he added.
