Taita Taveta man latest Lotto millionaire

A Taita Taveta civil servant is the latest millionaire in Kenya. Benard Lichoti claimed the Sh1 million grand prize, courtesy of the Lotto lottery.

The news was broken to him during the 53rd draw, which was held live on national television last Saturday.

Lichoti’s win brings the number of millionaires awarded by Lotto to 47 so far.

Other lucky winners during the Pre-Mother’s Day were Joyce Cherono, who won Sh75,000, while Dorcas Maungu, James Mulwa, Phelistas Kwara, Daniel Kibe, Elizabeth Wanyonyi, Florence Karimi, Pauline Mwakai and Timothy Kangoria won Sh50,000 each.

The last draw produced a total of 10,697 winners who were verified by the Betting Control and Licensing Board on live national television. The lowest amount won was Sh75.
