In the other match at the same venue on Friday, Kenya Harlequin recovered from a stunning 5-15 defeat away to Western Bulls to edge out resurgent Nondescripts 18-14.

A brace of tries from prop Curtis Lilako in addition to flanker skipper Philip Wamae’s try saw the bankers scale from third place to the top with 23 points, dislodging Strathmore University Leos.

EMPHATIC TRIUMPH
It was KCB’s fifth straight victory of the season, coming after last weekend’s emphatic 50-15 triumph over Mean Machine at the varsity grounds. Last season, Impala beat KCB 18-0.

Nondies failed to get inspiration from their previous 30-8 victory against Homeboyz last weekend as they try to rally from 0-18 at half time no avail.

Scrum half Lyle Asiligwa opened the scores for Quins with a penalty before winger William Mawira, flanker Brian Wandera and centre Brian Maina crossed for a try each to give Quins the lead 18-0 at the break.

Scrum-half Charles Kanyi converted centre Teddy Salano and Ken Muma’s tries but it was too little too late for the white shirts.
