Just who will blink first?
That is the question as Homeboyz seek redemption when they host Strathmore Leos in an enticing Kenya Cup match at Impala Sports Club on Saturday.
Leos won the first leg 11-10.
Hosts and leaders Impala Saracens have been tipped to a secure bonus point victory against visiting Blak Blad in the other match at Impala Sports Club.
Second-placed KCB have a tricky encounter in Kakamega against Western Bulls while Harlequins expect a bonus point win against limping Mean Machine at Kabete Campus.
Menengai Cream Soap-sponsored Homeboyz have had a see-saw run in their last five matches, winning two and losing three.
They are currently placed fourth in the log with 43 points, one better than the Leos.
Strathmore have had a better run in the last five outings winning four times and losing once against Kenya Harlequin 8-33.
Homeboyz will be without their five inspirational players. Eighthman Joshua Chisanga left the country early this week for trials with Aviva Premiership side Newcastle Falcons.
Backs Oscar Ayodi, Augustine Lugonzo and Leonard Mugaisi leave with Kenya Sevens tomorrow for the fifth and sixth legs of the World Rugby Sevens Series in Las Vegas and Vancouver respectively while Bush Mwale got injured in their previous match against Mwamba.
Steve Otieno comes in for Chisanga while Jeff Oluoch, Collins Shikoli, Bernard Rotich and Dominic Mose will replace Ayodi, Mugaisi, Lugonzo and Mwale.
Homeboyz deputy coach Simon Odongo said he was confident the rest of the pack would deliver revenge victory since they had depth.
“We beat KCB and Nakuru before without the five players and I am certain the rest will step up for revenge,” said Odongo.
