Kenya recorded a 21-20 victory over South Africa in a pulsating main cup quarter final tie at the Wellington Sevens on Saturday to set up a semi final meeting with New Zealand who beat Australia 24-5 in their cup quarter final.

Kenya had trailed South Africa 7-15 at half time but managed to fight back and eventually led 21-20 shortly before the full time hooter.
