Ukraine's Elina Svitolina hit a career high world ranking after her victory in Dubai helped her crack the WTA top 10 released on Monday.

The 22-year-old moved up three places to 10 after beating former world number one Caroline Wozniacki in Saturday's final.

Denmark's Wozniacki moved up one place to 14th.

Serena Williams remains on top of the rankings but less that 500 points ahead of Angelique Kerber, who could have gone top had she won in Dubai but lost to Svitolina in the semi-finals.
