Barely a week after the Deputy President William Ruto and President Kenyatta toured Uasin Gishu County asking those who lost in Jubilee Party primaries to support the Jubilee Party nominees, 14 aspirants who lost in Jubilee Party primaries for Turbo parliamentary seat have combined forces to support one of the independents who emerged second to Kevin Okwara, the Jubilee nominee for Turbo constituency.
The group believes that they lost to Kevin Okwara because many of them contested from the same ethnic group.
But having learnt their lesson, they have now gone back to the drawing board to strategize on how to clinch the seat come August 8th.
In what was termed as Turbo declaration, all the previous aspirants apart from the current member of parliament Elisha Busienei showed up in solidarity with Janet Sitienei, who is vying as an independent.
Deputy President Ruto hails from Turbo Constituency.
