On the November 20, 2019, Uber will host the Tech for Safety Summit in Nairobi.
This technology-safety focused event will look at ways of using current and new technologies to help create public spaces that champion social justice and equality, and that is accessible and safe for all.
Safe public spaces bring communities together, shape the cultural identity of an area, and provide a sense of place for local communities.
Open and honest discussions will bring these most pressing issues facing the country to the fore, including personal and commuter safety.
This summit, with its innovative speakers and panellists, will contribute to much-needed safety conversation while equipping guests with the thinking and knowledge needed to steer the narrative towards enhanced safety standards while using public spaces.
