Kenya will have a new Auditor-General and the Controller of Budget in August when the eight-year non-renewable term of the current occupants ends.

Auditor-General Edward Ouko and Controller of Budget Agnes Odhiambo were tapped in August 2011.

Unlike Ms Odhiambo whose tenure was less controversial, Mr Ouko battled a petition that sought to sack him on allegations of corruption and abuse of office.

In 2016, Mr Ouko came under a scathing attack from President Uhuru Kenyatta who criticised his investigations into the Sh280 billion Eurobond saga.

A panel will forward names of three nominees for each position to the President to pick one person for each position and vetted by Budget and Finance Committees
