Two suspects linked to varsity don’s murder arrested

Police on Thursday arrested two people in Kangundo suspected to have been involved in the murder of University of Nairobi lecturer Stephen Nzuve.

During the arrest, two of Prof Nzuve’s laptops, a mobile phone and a watch he was wearing at the time of his death were recovered.

Another laptop belonging to a Tala Girls Secondary School teacher who was attacked on the same night was also recovered.

Three other accomplices suspected to have bought the laptops are also in custody.

They are is expected to be arraigned in court on Friday morning and charged with robbery with violence.

Sources told the Nation.co.ke that Prof Nzuve's widow, Ruth Nzuve, positively identified the laptops, the phone and the watch.

They were arrested when they took the phone to a technician to assist them disable the phone’s password.
