Busia teacher arrested for defiling KCSE candidate

A secondary school teacher from Busia County was on Wednesday arrested for allegedly defiling a candidate at St Aquinas Madende High School.

Mr Geoffrey Namanya Osogo is said to have used his Toyota Prado vehicle to lure the 19-year-old girl whom he drove to an unknown destination where he defiled her.

After committing the act, the suspect is said to have returned the 19-year old girl to his house which is within the school compound.

Busia County Police Commander John Nyoike told Nation.co.ke the suspect was arrested and taken to Nambele Police Station.

 “The man has already been interdicted by the Teachers Service Commission,” Mr Nyoike said on Friday.

Nambale sub county security committee established that the incident occurred on November 19, 2019 between 8pm and 10pm.

 The matter was reported by Nambale sub county director of education, after she received a report from St Aquinas Madende High School Principal Clement Kudaka.

 “The girl was in tears when she reported to the school head,” said the statement recorded at Nambale Police Station.

Both the victim and the suspect were taken to Nambale Sub County Hospital for examination.
