Retail chain Khetia's Supermarket on Wednesday set shop in Busia County with a new outlet in Busia Town, pushing its total branch count to 12 stores across western Kenya.
The opening of store in the border town is part of the firm’s ongoing programme geared towards enhancing its market presence at county headquarters.
Currently, the retailer has two branches each in Kitale, Kisumu and Eldoret, three in Bungoma and one in Mumias.
Another branch will be opened in Kakamega on Thursday with plans to open a fourth branch in Bungoma slated for February.
Director Ashok Khetia said they will offer customers competitive and pocket-friendly prices.
Busia Deputy Governor Moses Mulomi, who officially opened the outlet, appealed to Mr Ashok to promote locally produced products including vegetables and peanut butter.
